The Beginning

Day One of our Singapore adventure - breakfast with a view at the Marriott on Orchard Road.  We walked up past the designer shops along the crowded sidewalks.  One crazy thing here is that they drive on the left side of the street, but many pedestrian/tourists are from right-side cultures, so no one knows which side of the sidewalk to walk on... you meet people head on and do a little dance to decide which way to pass...  Got to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which was busier than usual because it was Singapore National Day and the locals had the day off.  Lots of families picnicking among the amazing flowers and palm trees.
We came upon an interesting sight...this man was having his aches and pains worked on through his Chi.  Ask me about it later...
A few more pretty pictures for you to see:

AND you must see what Singaporean ladies do to keep in shape on National Day.  Eat your heart out, Madonna!
